Anyway, Sonic games. Yeah yeah, I know. sonic has been REALLY bad lately. And it hurts me deep… but there are good ones. Lemme show yah what ones.

Starting with a newer game:

Sonic and the Black Knight

No, really. I’m not kidding. The concept for this game was HORRIBLE, but the execution is pretty damn good. Sonic is summoned to the land of King Arthur by a cute loli version of Merlin named (surprise!) Merlina and after some delicious chili dog eating, Sonic gets a magic talking sword named “Caliburn”. The action is fast, and the sword allows you to obliterate most enemies without a care in the world. Now, like Secret Rings, there are a few slowdowns. There are points where you have to give villagers rings and there are large enemies that don’t go down in one hit, but everything else in the game is a pretty damn good time. I don’t really recommend it for someone who doesn’t like Sonic, but it’s worth a try even if you don’t.

Sonic Rush

This is the game where Blaze the Cat was introduced. The story for this game is something like Blaze comes from the negaverse and there are funky Chaos Emerald style gems there as well and Blaze is looking for them… It doesn’t matter much, it’s really not important. This game also introduced something I think all Sonic games need: A boost meter. You can use it to get to speed with a small burst or use it to destroy everything in your path for a short time. It’s filled by rings, doing mid-air tricks or defeating enemies. It’s awesome and EVERY SINGLE SONIC GAME SHOULD HAVE IT FOREVER.

YOU DON'T MESS WITH THE BEST

Sonic CD

Oh god, this is one of the best Sonic games in my opinion. It brings together some of the best parts of the first three Sonic games, but it adds in cool shit like time travel and some of the most fucking amazing music ever. The level design is amazing, the bosses are challenging and the time travel mechanic gives each level a wonderfully fresh feel. The game has good replayability and looks totally amazing. It’s for the Sega CD, PC and is an unlockable in the Sonic Mega Collection.

And, finally…

Sonic 3 & Knuckles

What happens if you take one of the most critically acclaimed Sonic games, then add the functionality to play as FUCKING KNUCKLES? You get one of the coolest things ever. Ever. This is seriously one of the best things that 16 bits has to offer. Climb shit, swim in the water, get around… You can do it all. You can do it with Sonic 2 as well.

That wraps up this stuff. Sorry about being gone so long, personal shit…

Anyway, I hope that soon I will be able to contribute regularly again!

Till next time!

The following article contains SPOILERS. You done been warned.

When I was a kid, there was a game series that EVERYONE played, or else they were stupid. Even the local Sega fans begrudgingly picked up a SNES, or borrowed one from a friend, for just one game. If you’re in the know, and read the title of this article, you’ve probably guessed that the series in question is The Legend of Zelda. If you didn’t guess that, you probably owned (Or still own) an XBox.

Now, I bring this up because I’ve been playing The Wind Waker again, because I just got my GameCube back, and unfortunately, my favourite games, Metroid Prime 1&2, were destroyed. So I pulled out my next favourite, and it’s definitely worthwhile to play through.

I won’t recap the story or something, this isn’t a review of the game. This is me stating the reasons why I love Toon Link, and why you’re a jerk if you don’t.

Toon Link is much more similar in style to the Links of olde than the Heroes of Time and Twilight. Think about it: Zelda has been very cartoony ever since I can remember. It was a game for kids! There were even childrens’ books based on the series. Admittedly, it’s a step past the oldschool level of cartoony-ness, but it feels like a much more natural progression than the GRIMDARK of Majora’s Mask and Twilight Princess. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a Zelda fangirl through and through, and I love those games as well. Hell, I’d even call Majora’s Mask one of my favourite games ever. But compare the imagery for a moment. The middle, A Link to the Past, has a brightly coloured, cartoony character, comically disproportionate characters, and PINK HAIR. I chose that screenshot because that’s as GRIMDARK as the game gets: A dark tunnel with an old man asking for directions. There wasn’t a ‘new style’ in The Windwaker, only a progression of the old style.

Link’s face (And to a lesser extent, the other characters) have incredibly expressive faces and body language. The big heads allowed for a very clear view of what the characters were thinking and feeling. When Link yelped in terror, his eyes went wide and he gritted his teeth. When he was sad, his mouth curled down into a frown and his entire body slumped over. When he was happy, his mouth dropped open into the goofiest grin imaginable and he jumped for effing joy. Exaggerated, yes, silly, yes, but the series is about a young boy saving a sad princess from an evil middle-eastern dude who turns into a gigantic anthropomorphic pig when he gets angry.

ZELDA ISN’T A PUSSY. Usually, anyway. She’s a badass smacktalking pirate who calls Link on his shit whenever he does something retarded. The only time she wimps out is when she’s in shock from finding out that she’s the princess of a dead nation, and then she comes back and SHOOTS GANON IN THE FACE, because he’s such a skilled swordsman that he’s invincible in a duel. Let me say that again, SHE SHOOTS AN INVINCIBLE PSYCHOPATH IN THE FACE TO MAKE SURE LINK CAN BEAT HIM.

With the introduction of counterattacks, and improvement to swordplay in general, it allows for a final boss who is not only fun to fight (Something that most Zelda games don’t have) but for a death scene which will forever live on in memory as one of the most painful, awesome things to watch in the history of Nintendo, right up there with the blood-soaked, spinning, disembodied eyeball at the end of Kirby’s Deam Land 3.

Yes, it’s a kiddy, cartoony, even childish looking style of animation. Half of you watch anime, with its idealized 2 dimensional love stories and people yelling out the names of their ’special attacks’ anyways, so why does that bother you? If you’re willing to pass up because it looks childish, even though it’s part of a series you had up-to-then enjoyed, I got some bad news for you, it’s not the game that’s being childish.

Yes, there are low-points to the game. It’s very clearly not finished, and I hope for a Director’s Cut version one day. It is artificially extended by necessary fetch-quests. I’m glad I didn’t pay full price for it at release for those reasons (I got it as a gift, in fact, and my mother got it for free). But now I see it up at used game stores for $10-$15. Hell, there’s a copy on ebay right at this time for $6.00. If you passed it up, and you love Zelda, you’ll be doing yourself a favour. The comic imagery at times is priceless, and the story, standard Zelda fare, leaves nothing to be desired for a fan of the series.

Peace.

The magic of beat/rhythm/music games is strong. Nothing makes you feel good like playing your favorite song, rocking out and getting the highest score you can. Well, not everyone knows what good music games there are out there, so here’s something that might point you in the right direction. Get ready to boogie!

Elite Beat Agents/Ouendan

If you haven’t heard of EBA, you probably need to come out of your cave. This game is totally amazing. The song selection is a bit… Odd, yes, but solid. Every second of this game is hilarious. The EBA go around the world and cheer on people who are in tough situations. How this would help someone steal back plans for their business or help a cat save a baby from a construction zone is beyond me, but I won’t complain. The game gives you numbered circles, and you have to tap them in sequence and rhythm with the playing song. Easy, right? For a while, sure, but you’ll be crying when you fail at the last stretch of “Without a Fight”. This game is on the DS only, has an American version(EBA) and two Japanese versions with different characters, scenarios, music, but that same awesome gameplay. There’s even a custom song game with gameplay very much like it on the PC called “Osu!”, but unless you have a touch screen PC you’re gonna be mousin’ it.

Dance Dance Revolution!

If you’ve ever even seen someone play this game, you’d know what I’m talking about. This game is everywhere from arcades to Gamecube and even the original Xbox. There’s enough remixes and such to put Final Fantasy to shame. Pick a song and step on the dance mat. You get arrows coming at the top of the screen and you have to step on the arrows on the mat as they hit the ones up top. Simple? Sure, just set it on heavy and we;ll see how simple it gets. The song selection in more recent titles has degraded a bit, but it’s not like the gameplay is any different. This is on damn near any console you can find since the Playstation, and with every mix of music you can imagine.

Parappa the Rapper (2)

Ever play a rhythm game with ORIGINAL music? I know, not uncommon, but every song in Parappa from Cheep Cheep the Cooking Chicken to the Hair Scare are not only catchy, but funny and well suited for the situation. You’re the rising rapper Parappa trying to win the lovely Sunny Funny’s heart. Why a dog loves a flower, I’ll never know… Anyway, in your adventures Parappa comes across snags where he’s gotta raise money to buy a new car or bake a cake… This is where the RAP MASTERS come in. The rap master and Parappa have a rap off and Parappa has to win in order to get shit done! Sometimes Parappa sounds a little inquisitive about what he’s doing, but it’s all good. Just make sure you have awesome rhythm or you ain’t gonna get nowhere in this game. The original Parappa is on the PS1 and PSP, number two is PS2 only for now.

AudioSurf

This game is beautiful, and that’s just part of it. Audiosurf uses your own music, something not many music games do. The game makes a personal track for every song, you choose a car and difficulty and you’re set for the next song duration. The point of this game is to make color clusters of the same color as you go down this track, see? The vehicle you choose can give you different abilities to aid you in doing this. One vehicle pushes the blocks into different lanes, another can share them for later, and one can erase block you don’t want. This game is cheap. Like, $10 cheap. If you don’t own this, then just end yourself because not only is this beautiful, it’s fun and it uses your own music. Give the director of this a medal because he deserves one.

I wanted to add in a few more, but I have yet to play Gitaroo Man and Guitar Hero is over rated.

So play these~

Till next time!

A game is supposed to be enjoyable. When I play a game, I play it for fun. Even when I go to a tournament and play for money I’m still playing for fun. If playing a game isn’t fun, then you should really put the controller down and pick up what does turn your crank.

That being said, something that doesn’t always make a game enjoyable is the graphics. Sure, graphics can be nice, especially in a game where it serves a purpose. However, in my time, I have heard far too many people tell me that they wouldn’t play a game simpily because it wasn’t top notch graphics or it didn’t push the hardware of the machine to the max. Why would you wanna do that to your machine?

If a game is fun and has good graphics, that’s great, but what if it’s not the best image capture top notch stuff? Some games look amazing even without the magic of the third dimension. Ever take a look at Cave Story? The game would pass for a SNES game, the gameplay is something that’s involving and fun, and the story, while confusing at first, will have you in tears. Ever take a look at Sonic the Hedgehog on the PS3 and 360? I’m a huge Sonic fan and this game, while very pretty, was a nightmare to play. Sonic clips through curbs, jumps make him slow to a near stop and a personal killer for me: I can see his feet the entire time. I never ever wanna see Sonic’s feet when he’s running. Ever.

Good, pretty, but short

When you think about it, you were a kid once. When you were younger, you sure as heck didn’t have near realistic graphics and amazing surround sound, but you still played your game and man you had a blast! Why wouldn’t that work again? I gotta give Capcom kudos for giving us a new “classic” game, even if I still can’t beat one robot master, the joy it gives me is huge. Partially from nostalgia, partially from frustration and greatly from the gameplay… It’s been years since I felt this way.

I guess partially because I feel this way is that when I go to work at my game store, and kids come in and tell me about how old the Gamecube and PS2 are and I wanna strangle them. They’re telling me I sat down and played a new game for last week is old school. I could have been a little more understanding if it was a clueless old gramma or something, but a kid of 10 – 12? Come on, you’d have to live under a rock. Last week I was cleaning up Gamecube discs for a kid and said he had no idea what a cartridge was. I know not every game in the past is worth playing, but they won’t even give them a second glance.

Dear youngins,

Put down your Halo and Grand Theft Auto and play Doom and Vectorman.

Love,

I’ve always been a pretty big Nintendrone, and I know that the picture to the left has probably just lost me a lot of potential readers, especially after that whole “Sonic Team hates Sonic” stuff.

But, have I told you to get a bad game yet?

Anyway…

Sonic Adventure 2 Battle/Adventure DX

These games were originally on the Dreamcast… That beautiful failure. Even though it was the easiest thing to pirate games on, it had some of the best games I’ve seen in a long, long time. The Sonic Adventure games were certainly one of those golden games. In the first, you play as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Big the cat, Amy Rose and E-102 Gamma. In the second, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, Rouge and Eggman. The gameplay for Sonic and Knuckles is the same style as the first, Shadow and Rouge borrow Sonic and Knuckle’s gameplay, respectivly. Eggman and Tails are in walking mechs, a little different than how Tails played in the last game. Anyway, in Adventure DX, the story is Sonic and friends have to stop Eggman from raising Chaos to his perfect form with the Chaos Emeralds, and in Adventure 2 Battle, they have to stop Eggman from blowing up the world with the cannon aboard the ARK space station. If you like Sonic at all, if you like fast paced games at all then pick these babies up. The gameplay is solid and the final bosses will blow your mind from the awesome they create. Live and Learn, baby.

Metroid Prime

A very interesting turn for the Metroid games. These games are first person shooters, as opposed to the sidescrolling goodness of every other Metroid game before it. Luckily, the FPS formula worked well for Prime. You play as Samus Aran, you land on a planet and as tradition goes you proceed to lose every single power you have. AWESOME.

So, you go through this game, get your powers and suits back and through this learn that Space Pirates are mining this super deadly goop called PHAZON that’s more radioactive than Vault 87’s entrance, but can be used to make awesome weapons, and in fact suits that can protect one from the PHAZON radiation. You gotta stop the Space Pirates and kill the Metroid Prime, a Metroid(That we thought we killed off in like… Every Metroid game ever, but they seem to always come back) that sucked up some PHAZON and mutated like crazy. PHAZON is in the entire Metroid Prime series, but it really takes it’s best role here, in my opinion. I didn’t finish Corruption, but Echoes sucked major ass.

Remember kids, this game is for the Gamecube only. I had someone ask me if they could get this on the PS2 and I almost punched them.

Almost.

Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg

This has got to be one of the most drug induced ideas ever. It’s okay, though. It’s awesome. You play as Billy and his pals in a place called Morning Land, inhabited mainly by birds and fowls. The Chicken Elders have been kidnapped and imprisioned in giant eggs, and Billy has to hatch them free! Billy and each of his buddies wear this chicken suit things that give them the ability to hatch these eggs and get power ups.

You can find rooster doodles around, grab them and get cool powers for protecting your egg so it doesn’t break and speaking of the eggs… So, in order to hatch them, you roll over fruit in magic bubbles. Your eggs can hatch into helper animals, characters from previous Sonic Team games, power ups or collectibles. You can break the eggs, too, I might add, but only from enemy/painful obstacle attacks. You can attack with the eggs by running over enemies with a quick burst of speed, or jumping and slamming that sucker down. You can also ride on top of them to get over some obstacles and WATER. Water will kill you. Kill you dead. Either way, this game is a blast. Pick it up for a hell of a good time and some questioning of what was going through Sonic Team’s heads (or crack pipes) when they made this game.

Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door

At first I was gonna put Double Dash here, but everyone knows Mario Kart is good… so I’m doin’ this instead. In Paper Mario, you have a simplistic RPG. A damn good one, too. You play as Mario and his partners. I think you can get six, plus a seventh one, Miss Mowz, if you do some shit. Anyway, this games simplicity and humor are it’s strong points. Leveling up takes 100 “Star Points”, and the more you level, the less certain enemies will give you. The battle system is turn based, as well as the cool “Sneak attack” thing that you can do in the overworld. Hit them with your hammer or jump on them and do some damage before battle even starts. There’s also a crowd, do stylish moves with good timing and you get more people and do more damage.

So, you gotta get the 7 Crystal Stars before/from these aliens the X-Nauts. They’re all viciously incompetent except for the higher ups, who usually end up being bosses. You can play as Princess Peach, who is kidnapped and pampered by the X-Nauts. Through out the game, she teaches the computer about the X-Naut ship to have feelings and answers questions about life for it. This game is hilarious and easy to pick up. I highly recommend it… but what game would I tell you about in here that I wouldn’t?

Alright, now that I’m done with this I’m going to bed.

Till next time~

I was never really into the shooter scene until recently. I’ve taken notice to the fair number of them coming out of the last two or three years. Yeah, there are a lot of shooters before now, but it just feels like we’re overwhelmed with them, huh? No worries, I’ll give you the low-down on what to get from now and then.

Duke Nukem 3D

If you’ve ever played a Duke Nukem game, you’d know why I’m recommending it. The games are pretty damn good. You play as the lovable Duke, who returns from fighting aliens to find his lovable planet turned into a not so lovable wasteland. You gotta shoot the aliens up, saves the babes, watch the porn, drink the brews. The game has an amazing sense of humor, quoting movies like Dirty Harry and Duke’s phrases. If anything, pick this one up for the laughs. It’s originally on the PC where it has a ton of expansions, and it was on the PS1, N64 and a few other consoles under different names.

Halo: Custom Edition

That’s right, I said it. This is a PC only game of awesome proportions, mostly because it’s customizable. There are Zelda mods, a Metroid Prime mod in the making, and in all actuality, Halo has good multiplayer anyway. If you have an old Halo: Combat Evolved CD(Or .exe, I won’t tell…), find the download.

The Orange Box

Alright, alright… This isn’t just one game… It’s five. Five REALLY good games. If you don’t have this, go get it now.

Like, RIGHT now.

This box contains the most complete Half-Life 2 collection to date, Portal, and Team Fortress 2. And for $50, probably less since it’s been out well over a year, that’s just a plain rip-off.Half-Life 2 and it’s Episodes are awe-inspiring shooters telling how Dr. Gordan Freeman is attempting to save and rebuild the world after the hostile take over of the Combine. Portal is a puzzle shooter where you use, you guessed it, portals to move things and yourself around a closed environment to hit switches and such. Team Fortress 2 is the sequel to Team Fortress Classic, an online only team based shooter. Nine classes give you a roster of near endless possibilities for support, defense and offense.

Here’s one thing though: PLAYING AS ONLY A SNIPER ON 2FORT ISN’T COOL, DON’T DO IT. EVER.

Resident Evil 4

Alright, whoever marketed this game as horror is a damn idiot. It’s got a scary setting, but the action is happening so fast you won’t have time to be scared. Except for a few parts.

You play as Leon Kennedy, a sarcastic badass sent from the U.S. to find the president’s daugter, Ashley.

You get an over the shoulder view on this one. It fits the game well. You got your guns and you got a deadly knife. The inventory really gives it a little more of a survival feel, even if the merchant sells you a bigger one. Anyway, so you’re in Spain, killing insane infected Spaniards and they catch you and Ashley and load you full of them, too. Fun stuff! You now not only need to escape, but find the antidote on your way out. You’ll come across a few different kind of angry Spaniard from Farmer, to Cult Member to Crazy Mohawk Biker with Machine Gun. Most of the game, you have to protect the president’s daughter from being killed or taken away, sometimes a bother, but nothing too serious. The game has lots of cool things to get for beating it a number of times, like a mobster-type getup for Leon and a suit of armor for Ashley that makes that part where you snipe the cuff off of her SOOOO much easier. Anyway, this baby here is for the Gamecube, PS2, PC and Wii… I’d recommend the Wii version, myself. Easy controls, and the best graphics you can get for it.

Bioshock

This game is pretty damn sweet. You have some Irish guy talking to you the entire game, and you re-write your DNA via magic vials.

Now, when I first played this game it was at a party and I couldn’t tell what the guy was sayings, but I know he was telling you to do stuff… But when you get to the first Plasmid and inject it into yourself, he doesn’t tell you to do it. Anyway, you’re in an Atlantis kind of place, only instead of a thriving utopia… You have a dump. Mr. Ireland tells you you have to either rescue or harvest all these children called “Little Sisters”. However, each one is guarded by a Big Daddy, a large brute in an old fashioned scuba suit with hooks/drills/pain for arms and such. I have to admit, for as tough as they look, they’re pretty easy to take out. Anyway, you harvest or rescure these Little Sisters, get more genetic code magic so you can do new things, some guns, a wrench and an underwater world. This game is longer than Dead Space, but still a little short, but I guess that’s because all I did was play it till I beat it. This one’s a keeper, good story, good gameplay, good graphics, good setting… What’s to go wrong?

Welp, that’s all for shooters for today. I’m giving you enough games for a long time every time anyway. Hoho.

Don’t forget to listen to my radio up there in “Live Streams”!

Till next time!

My entire life I’ve played at least one RPG among my conglomerate. Everyone’s played one once, I’m sure. It’s hard to say you’re a gamer without trying one of at least every kind of game in my opinion. I’ve played quite a few in my time, and I’m gonna tell you one thing right now. Most of them are damn good.

Diablo(2)

These games redefined RPG for a lot of people. Diablo has been a staple for any real RPG player since the original. The first one was made on the PC, and ported to the Playstation by EA. I like the PC version better, but both are good. In Diablo, you pick a class and are thrown into a world where demons are messing shit up and you are the only one (wo)man enough to kick their sorry asses. The interface is probably why this game is such a winner.

See that monster? Click it. Oh, you hit it!

You’re a mage, you say? Well, right click it!

Oh, it burst into flames and died! Awright!

Of course, as you play it, the game gets harder, the enemies come at you more, you find unique and boss monsters and you get better equipment. Thank god this game has online play, because with friends (Or total strangers), the game only gets more exciting. It’s even got a decent story, to boot! Can’t wait for Diablo 3!

Matt Uelmen is one of the best composers I have ever EVER heard. EVER.

Valkyrie Profile

A game developed by Tri-Ace BEFORE Squaresoft bought them out. This game is magical. You play as Lenneth Valkyrie, reaper of souls. She’s gotta run around Midgard and collect the souls of fallen warriors, Einherjar, train them and then send them to the Asgard in Valhalla so they can postpone Ragnarok.

Each character is assigned a face button

The battle system in this game can really only be described with two words: Unique, Simple.

When in a dungeon, it’s a basic sidescroller. You can shop with your sword, jump and shoot crystals to freeze enemies or scale walls. When you touch an enemy that isn’t frozen, battle begins. Each character gets a face button and position in battle. You can make them all attack at once, one at a time, whatever tickles your fancy. Certain equips allow for bigger attack chains/magic effects. Now comes the fun part, Purify Weird Soul. PWS is pretty much your Final Smash, your Super Move, Fatality… It’s your finisher. When you hit an enemy enough times, the battle pauses, tells you to tap a highlighted face button and then it starts. I wanted to describe these, but I really can’t. If you haven’t seen one of them, just take a look here. Oh god, every time I activate that… Goosebumps go up my spine. This game, originally on the PS1 has been ported to the PSP, has a prequel on the PS2 and a sequel is coming to the DS later this year.

Mother 3

Like you didn’t see this one coming. This game is all sorts of good and bad. I cry a lot during sad moments in games(not in movies, though… Weird.), and this game had plenty.

The battle system in this one is turn/rhythm based. Each enemy has a heartbeat that you can hear when they’re asleep, which allows you to rack up a 16 hit combo. The characters are memorable, beautiful locals, amazing humor, vicous rippings at your heart… This game is a masterpiece of story and gameplay. Just make sure you have the box of tissues with you. This game, on the GBA is available only in English via a fan translation, still very worth picking up.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles

This game and a package of bacon decimated my birthday weekend. Me and a good friend had the gear, and the will. We sat down and played the shit out of this game. Anyway, this game is designed to be multiplayer, this is where it shines, but single player is still damn fine.

In this game, you have to collect Myrrh from trees protected by crazy weird ass monsters/robots/whatever. The only downside to multiplayer gameplay is that someone has to carry the chalice around so the adventurers don’t get screwed over by the miasma that’s plaguing the land. As long as you can manage the chalice well, this game is a god damn awesome trip. Try to keep your pants on.

Alright, I think that’s enough this time around. I have more, but that’ll be for another time.

Till next time!

Jumpluff~

Here’s something somewhat different and experimental. What do you get when you take text-based games and add voice acting to them?

Vidya Theatre, of course!

Brought to you and made possible by Gamer Blag.

I’ve been waiting for you, boy . . .

Some notes on this:

I apologize if this isn’t how you think he sounds. Even in my own account, I wasn’t pleased with my representation (I think I sound too young). I’d have hired someone else were it a choice, but that’s really not the point of this anyway.

The voice of the King of Hyrule and the little game sounds in the background–which are all taken from the game, itself, and I do not claim to own or sell them–are maybe my favorite parts of this. It’s perhaps a nod to my ineptitude.

I chose this in particular because it was familiar and interesting. This is also what leads to its difficulty. Ganondorf in Wind Waker has a lot of depth–that’s what makes this so interesting–and because of that, it can be very hard to interpret it into a tangible piece such as this. It’s important to note his intentions that are driven by his desire for a better world. He sees the ocean as a wasteland, much like the desert he grew up in. Hyrule isn’t a land to conquer simply for the sake of domination; Ganondorf wants the splendor of Hyrule that he was never able to experience. Although he is still a villian at heart and does tend to take his objectives violently and often by force, he is still more humanized than he has been in the past. This is what makes him such a difficult part, but I like to think I at least touch on that.

If not, then feel free to criticize the performance; I’ll have deserved it.

Hopefully I will perfect these so that they sound less unprofessional and so that there will be more to come.

Also, expect DJ: G Double to return with a new Smooth Talk, Game Talk soon.

I've been waiting for you, boy . . .

Some notes on this:

I apologize if this isn't how you think he sounds. Even in my own account, I wasn't pleased with my representation (I think I sound too young). I'd have hired someone else were it a choice, but that's really not the point of this anyway.

The voice of the King of Hyrule and the little game sounds in the background--which are all taken from the game, itself, and I do not claim to own or sell them--are maybe my favorite parts of this. It's perhaps a nod to my ineptitude.
