Play these games: PSP Edition

I gotta be honest, the PSP has a serious lack of good games. HOWEVER, the ones it does have are pretty sweet. Here’s a few:
Dissidia final Fantasy
Remember how I keep saying I hate SquareEnix? Well, they keep giving me shit, then throwing me a bone. This was one hell of a bone.
Dissidia isn’t out in America, yet. I’ve been playing it on my custom firmware PSP in Japanese. It took me a while to be able to navigate the menus, but now that I can…
Oh damn am I glad. This is a fighting game with characters from Final Fantasy 1-11. Each game has two characters from each game, a hero and a villain. The battles in Dissidia are NOTHING like previous Final Fantasy games. You take control of your favorite hero/villian and go to town. Jumping, dodging, attacking, magic, summons, you name it, it’s in there. The system for dealing damage is a little interesting and takes a little getting used to, but once you’ve got it down you’ll be a pro in no time. If you ever wanted to beat the ever loving shit out of Sephiroth or Cloud, this game is for you. What’s even better, is it’s fun, and has AWESOME multiplayer. Get this game when it comes out later this year. Or, get it now if you have custom firmware.
Power Stone Collection
This is actually two games in one, both originally on the Dreamcast. Power Stone and Power Stone 2 are fighting games akin to Super Smash Bros, but with the mobility in three dimensions. You get a wide array of characters from every country. There are stones that are dropped in the stages by your opponent (Or you) when they’re hit. Collect three and you change into your super form for a limited time. This part kicks ass. Super forms in the game are usually not game makers(I’m looking at you, Gunrock. Dick.), and last for a short enough time that it can allow the other person to survive. Very well implemented. This game is a bit rare, so keep your eyes peeled.
Jeanne d’Arc
I’m not big on SRPGs, but I tell you what… This one is awesome. You play as Jeanne, who’s villiage is destroyed by some army.. It’s supposed to be historically accurate, or something like that… But it’s very not. And that’s fine. Jeanne has the power to change into different armors for a certain number of turns that give her holy ass kicking powers. She has a few buddies as well from a timid little girl to a lion man. This game is pretty sweet, and sucks you in. If you need to burn some time, get it. If you don’t get it anyway.
Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles
This is actually two games in one. It’s Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, a game never released in America and Castlevania Symphony of the Night. Rondo of Blood is pretty much like the old Castlevania games. You have X amount of HP, and the end is down there. Survive till the end.
Simple? Yes. Easy? HELL NO. This game is hard. Really hard. If you haven’t played any of the older Castlevania games recently, I hope you enjoy a lot of AAAAAAUGHSGSGHGHG and blood splatter. You’re gonna get a lot of it.
I dare you to beat these and then come back.
Also, don’t forget my radio up there under Live Streams!
Till next time!

The thing about the PSP games list though is that for the amount of time it’s been out it probably doesnt have enough good games, but the fact that its been out for so long means that anyone picking one up has an infinite library to choose from. I really want one of those Carnival Colour PSP’s T_____T
